Praveer Ranjan, special commissioner of police at a presser in Delhi said the initial probe has revealed that 'toolkit' appears to have been created by a pro-Khalistani organisation.

The Delhi Police cyber-crime cell has registered an FIR on charges of “sedition”, “criminal conspiracy” and “promoting hatred” against the creators of a ‘toolkit’ on farmer protests, which was shared by climate activist Greta Thunberg.

However, the police clarified that neither Swedish teen climate change activist Greta Thunberg nor anyone else has been mentioned in their FIR filed.

The teen activist, throwing her support behind the farmers' agitation, had shared "a toolkit for those who want to help". "Here's a toolkit if you want to help," tweeted Thunberg, which leads the user to a document containing details on ways to support the protest.

Praveer Ranjan, special commissioner of police at a presser in Delhi said the initial probe has revealed that 'toolkit' appears to have been created by a pro-Khalistani organisation.

The Delhi Police said, "some elements" were trying to take advantage of the farmer protests and "one account" had posted a toolkit that was authored by a group called the "Poetic Justice Foundation" that was a "Khalistani organisation".

"Taking cognizance of the toolkit, the police have registered a case for spreading disaffection against the government of India (sedition) and disharmony between groups on religious, social and cultural grounds, and criminal conspiracy to give shape to this," said Praveer Ranjan, Special Commissioner of Police.

Documents uploaded on social media has proper action plan about organizing a 'digital strike' on or before January 26 and 'tweet-storms' on January 23, said the Police.

The teen climate campaigner, unfazed, tweeted that she "still" stood with farmers and "no amount of threats" would change that.

Thunberg tweeted, “I still #StandWithFarmers and support their peaceful protest. No amount of hate, threats or violations of human rights will ever change that. #FarmersProtest.”
