NEET PG 2021 postponed due to Covid pandemic

Synopsis

Announcing the decision, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said the health and safety of the young doctors was paramount at the moment. 

The Centre has postponed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for postgraduate candidates which was scheduled to be held on April 18.

The decision was taken in the wake of the prevailing Coronavirus situation in the country.

Announcing the decision, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said the health and safety of the young doctors was paramount. 

The date of the NEET examination will be decided after reviewing the situation later. 

The (NEET PG) examination was initially scheduled for January 2021 but had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 situation which was still far better than the present situation.

On April 9, the National Board of Examination had issued a notification announcing that it will hold the examination on April 18.
