Mumbai: The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the case pertaining to the recovery of an explosives-laden SUV near the house of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani last month, has seized two more luxury cars allegedly used by suspended Mumbai police officer Sachin Waze.
The NIA report said on Thursday that four theories are being investigated in the case.

The NIA has arrested Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze, who is now suspended from service, in connection with the case. Other Mumbai Police officials are also being grilled in the case that has left the entire country intrigued.
According to NIA sources, a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado was found parked outside Waze's residence in the Saket area of adjoining Thane. A Mercedes car linked to Sachin Vaze was also seized but it was not clear from where it was picked up. The total number of vehicles seized has gone up to five, including another Mercedes, a Scorpio and an Innova.
Vaze (49), credited with eliminating 63 alleged criminals in 'encounters', is also facing heat in the murder case of Thane-based businessman Mansukh Hiran.
Hiran was found to be in possession of the Scorpio car that was parked near Ambani's house. He was later found dead in a creek in Thane on March 5.
Hiran's wife accused Vaze of involvement in her husband's suspicious death.
Meanwhile, under fire over handling of the bomb scare outside Ambani's house, Maharashtra Government on Wednesday shifted Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh to the Home Guard. Senior IPS officer Hemant Nagrale has replaced Singh as Mumbai police commissioner.
Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Wednesday said that transfer of Mumbai Police commissioner Param Bir Singh was not a routine administrative move and the decision was taken after probe revealed “serious errors” in the commissioner’s office.
“This was not an administrative transfer. There are certain things that have come forward during the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and state Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) investigations. Being the head of the Mumbai Police force, some serious mistakes have been committed by his officers working in the commissioner’s office. These mistakes are serious and unforgivable and that is the reason he was transferred,” Deshmukh said at an event organised by a Marathi newspaper in Mumbai.
Deshmukh said that the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the NIA are conducting the probe into the episode "professionally".
He said that action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in the respective probes by the NIA and ATS.
