Of the 152 police personnel awarded this year, 15 are from the Central Bureau of Investigation.
The central government on Thursday announced the winners of the 'Union Home Minister's Medal for Excellence in Investigation' for 2021.
This year, 152 police personnel, including 28 women police officials, have been awarded the medal.
This medal, constituted in 2018, aims to encourage high professional standards of crime investigation.
The award also recognises excellence in an investigation by investigating officers.
Of the 152 police personnel awarded this year, 15 are from the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Also rewarded are 11 police personnel each from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, 10 from Uttar Pradesh, 9 from Rajasthan and Kerala, 8 from Tamil Nadu, 7 from Bihar, 6 each from Delhi, Karnataka and Gujarat and the remaining from the other States/UTs.
