Yoga teacher hypnotises couple, forces them to become her ‘slaves’

Ushasri, a 33-year-old woman came to Hyderabad in 2010 after a divorce in America. She settled in Hyderabad and formed a friendship with a real estate businessman Srikanth Reddy.
She worked in his office and was in a live-in relationship with him for some time. The duo then started a yoga institution last April in order to earn money. They trapped innocent clients through the Yoga institution and grabbed money from them.
Ushasri’s plan was unravelled before the media on Monday evening in the Madhapur Police Station by ACP Ramana Kumar and Inspector Kalinga Rao.
Ganti Jagadeesh and his wife Kiranmai , residents of Kondapur were going through mental turmoil for some time. On 27th of last month they went to Sure Yoga Kendra in Khanamet and narrated their problem to Ushasri, the organiser of the kendra. She promised to teach them ‘kayakalp method’ of yoga which is good in erasing mental tensions. For three days she hypnotised them in the name of spiritual counselling and collected all the information about the woman including her personal problems.
Ushasri asked her to stay in the yoga kendra citing incomplete therapy as the reason behind it. The next day she took Jagadeesh and Kiranmai to the Kali temple near Nanakramguda and offered pujas saying that Kiranmai was filled with evil spirits.
After which she brought Kiranmai to the yoga Kendra, forced her to strip and asked her brother Abhishek (29) to beat Kiranmai with a belt and the rudraksha chain. Ushasri recorded Kiranmai’s naked pictures in her mobile phone. She made the wife and husband to drink various juices and forced them to her bidding.
The same day she told them that they needed some more pujas to be done in Srisailam. Ushasri along with her live-in partner Srikanth Reddy and her brother Abhishek took the couple to Srirangam via Bengaluru and from there to Arunachalam. There they seized their gold and Ushasri transferred Rs 2 lakh from their account.
The couple told their family of their trip to Srikakulam. But the family didn’t receive any response to their calls. So on 3rd of July they lodged a complaint with the police.
Police in their investigation found their phone signals near Tiruvannamalai. Madhapur police sought the help of the Tamil Nadu police, arrested the culprits and brought them to Madhapur PS on 9th. After which they filed a case against Ushasri and her brother Abhishek and sent them to remand.
There is a twist in the whole tale. The wife of Srikanth Reddy complained to the police that Ushasri had seduced her husband and took all his money. The police revealed this matter to the media. Madhapur Police arrested the yoga Kendra manager and an accomplice.
