Telangana State Corporation releases Rs 15 crore for VIP air travel

Synopsis

Telangana State Aviation Corporation Limited (TSACL) to release an additional fund of ₹15 crore for covering air travel expenses of state VIPs.  TSACL has arranged a ‘suitable’ helicopter on hiring basis for tour programmes of the state dignitaries.

 

Last month, the Telangana state government ordered Telangana State Aviation Corporation Limited (TSACL) to release an additional fund of ₹15 crore for covering the expenses of the special flights and helicopters hired for travel and trip of dignitaries including the chief minister, governor and other state ministers.

These travel arrangements are made when the VIPs visit project sites as well as when they go for aerial surveys. Apart from the cost of the mode of transportation, the fund is used for paying service tax, accommodation and other collateral expenses, a leading daily reported. Telangana State Aviation Corporation Limited (TSACL) is responsible for making these arrangements.

The Hindu reported that TSACL has arranged a ‘suitable’ helicopter on hiring basis for tour programmes of the state dignitaries. This helicopter is positioned at Begumpet airport.
