Telangana JAC flags two Government orders 'dangerous'

Synopsis

JAC is all geared up to launch an agitation against the government on its recent GOs  It alleged that the two GOs are dangerous to the farming community

Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) alleged that the two Government Orders (GOs) released on behalf of Farmer Associations are both dangerous GOs.

JAC Chairman Muddasani Kodanda Rama Reddy accused that the government has issued GOs 39 and 42 related to organising Farmer Coordination Samithis without the involvement of local organisation officers.

These nominated committees were to be given decision-making powers for implementation of government schemes, selection of beneficiaries and authentication of land records. This would completely undermine the Panchayat Raj system and local democratic governance.

He agitated that the GOs are undemocratic and announced that the JAC is organising an All Parties Meet on September 8 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Somajiguda Press Club.

He called all organisations and awareness organisations to attend the meeting regarding discussion on the GOs.
