Sangeetha's fight for justice reaches fifth day, seeks financial security for her daughter

·       Sangeetha’s agitation against her husband Srinivas Reddy’s atrocities reaches fifth day ·       She is seeking justice for her two-year-old daughter as her husband ditched her to marry another woman ·       She asked for a clear promise that her husband and in laws should be severely punished for disclaiming their daughter  

Sangeetha’s agitation for justice against her husband and in-laws atrocities towards her for giving birth to a baby girl continued to fifth day. She sought justice and a clear promise that her in-laws should be severely punished for disclaiming their daughter and harassing her and also for providing financial security to her daughter.

Sangeetha continued her agitation in front of her husband’s home in Boduppal after they threw her out when she went to question about Srinivas Reddy’s third marriage to another woman Devi Jagadeswari. Srinivas divorced Swathi to marry Sangeetha from Chandanagar in 2013.

Police arrested her husband Srinivas Reddy, brother-in-law Sridhar Reddy, mother-in-law Ilamma and father-in-law Balreddy on Wednesday. Sridhar and Balreddy received bail but court refused bail to Ilamma and she was shifted to Chanchalguda jail.

The case took a political turn with the involvement of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and IT Minister K Taraka Ramarao. Malkajgiri MP Malla Reddy met Sangeetha on behalf of KTR and tried to mediate between both the families.

He had talks with the in-laws and Sangeetha’s family seeking compensation, security and maintenance. But the talks failed which resulted in the arrest of the in-laws.

Sangeetha professed to continue her agitation till her demands are fulfilled. She seeks justice for her daughter as her parents are not in a financial capacity to take her responsibility.
