A man, angry at his wife's adultery, picked an axe and brutally hacked the individual sleeping next to her. What he did not realise her that the particular individual was his 14-year-old son.
The incident took place in Kurnool district’s Gutupalle village on Friday, a Times of India report said.
According to police, the victim's mother was allegedly having an extramarital affair. When the boy was lying on a bed, the accused mistook him to be his wife's paramour and attacked him.
Times of India reports that the victim, Parusuram, and his father Somanna continued having verbal spats over family issues in the past few months. On Friday morning, Somanna hit his son with an axe and despite trying to defend himself, the boy sustained serious injurious on hands and shoulder.
Somanna later broke down after he realised he hit his son. The police slapped a case against him under Section 307 of the IPC.
