Telangana left parties accused IT Minister and Telangana Chief Minister’s son K Taraka Ramarao of misusing power and demanded for an instant cancellation of his election membership.

Telangana Chief Secretary of Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) Tammineni Veerabhadram along with the other left parties met the Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal at the Secretariat. They submitted a letter to him asking for the cancellation of KTR’s election membership.

Speaking to the media afterwards, Tammineni said that KTR is the Director of Himanshu Motors but acts as if he is the least bothered. It is against the law to continue in a private position after becoming a minister, and so Tammineni demanded for the cancellation of KTR’s membership.

KTR in his 2014 election nomination and also in his 2016 income tax attached documents stating his affiliation to Himanshu Motors. Tammineni produced the affidavits as evidences.

It is against the constitution to be a minister and continue as director to a private company.
