Government employees can choose Telangana or Andhra: HC

Hyderabad High Court ruled that government employees of the previous united Andhra Pradesh can choose which government they want to continue working with. The ruling came while hearing two petitions filed by two engineers who chose Telangana during bifurcation.
On April 8, the Hyderabad High Court ruled that government employees of the previous united Andhra Pradesh can choose which government they want to continue working with – Telangana or the new Andhra Pradesh.
The ruling came while hearing two petitions filed by two engineers who chose Telangana during bifurcation. Central Government granted Their request. But, this allocation reportedly aggrieved some engineers who approached the AP Administrative Tribunal that set aside the order. Then, both the engineers filed the petition on the high court.
The Hyderabad high court cited the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act of 2014 under which several rules and norms were laid down that are to be followed at the time of bifurcation.
