
Malayalam hit movie Oru Vaddakan Selfie is getting its Telugu remake in the form of Meda Meedha Abbayi. The first look of the film was released on June 10.
The makers of Meda Meeda Abbayi revealed that the entire movie will be shot in a single schedule. The movie has been shot in Pollachi, Tamilnadu, extensively. The film went on the floors on March 16. The Malayalam film was directed by G Prajith, and he will be helming the Telugu remake as well. The Telugu film will star Nikhila Vimal who will essay the role of Manjima and Allari Naresh will be playing Nivin Pauly.
Allari Naresh with this film is looking for a respite from his previous box office failure Intlo Deyyam Nakem Bhayyam. The actor is famous for his comic timing and his essaying of roles with lots of humour.
Nikhila Vimal has been active in the Malayalam and Tamil film industry. She was first seen in Bhagyadevatha (2009) film directed by Sathyan Anthikad, where she played the role of Jayaram's sister. In 2015, she played the female lead in Sreebala K Menon's film Love 24x7. Even in the Tamil industry her role as Latha in Vetrivel (2016) film, in which she was the pair of M. Sasikumar.
The Malayalam romantic-comedy movie starred Nivin Pauly, Manjima, Vineeth Sreenivasan and Aju Varghese in the lead role. It was produced by Vinod Shornur and Lal Jose,while the script was handled by Vineeth Srinivasan.
The fun filled story was a huge hit with the youth. Nivin's character Umesh dreamed of meeting Tamil movie director Gautham Menon and this was how he was going to fund his dreams of becoming rich. Listening to the advice of his blundering friend Shaji played by Aju Varghese, he lands in a soup which involved heroine Manjima Mohan who played the character Daisy.
The story focuses on the misuse of social media and how gullible women fall into traps of men posing as good friends and how they swindle such girls out of their money by blackmail and other means.
