8760 'ayurvedic chocolates' containing ganja were seized in Nizamabad Earlier in January a doctor in the city was arrested for selling such chocolates They cost only Rs 5 and available for children’s consumption in the market

In this case 8760 'ayurvedic chocolates' containing ganja and with the ISO mark, were seized by the Excise department in Nizamabad. Shockingly, they are available for popular consumption and in the market, under the name Madhumanka and at Rs 5 each.

Marijuana chocolates is not a new trend in the city, in fact, in January this year, a Hyderabad doctor was arrested for selling drugs on Instagram. He was held for making and selling chocolates laced with marijuana on social media.

According to Andhrajyothi, it came to light when the Excise department officials found that the drug chocolates were being sold to children. It created a furore in the Telangana region when the news came out that just for the sake of few bucks, people are selling drug chocolates to children.

These chocolates which were made in Rajasthan were being sold in Nizamabad city. The officials confiscated them and are investigating their source.
