  • Most of us know the woes of a message sent accidentally, don't we?
  • WhatsApp may soon ensure that you are not caught in such a tricky situation by allowing to recall sent messages.

Most of us have regretted sending a messaging and wished if it could be recalled/ deleted. WhatsApp being the most celebrated messaging app in India, there are many waiting to get their hands on this feature.

A leak by WABetaInfo, known to track WhatsApp beta updates, has revealed a screenshot showing the Recall feature. The tweet almost confirms the feature, which come make its way on to our device with the WhatsApp v2.17.30+ version for iPhone.

Note that this does not exclude that it will be enabled in a future update (so I wrote "+").

The tweets also reveal that the Contacts tab that went missing on the iPhone with the launch of the Status feature could make its way back onto the device. And, WhatsApp is said to be currently testing the feature.

We'd earlier seen the beta tracking twitter handle reveal new change number feature that will also notify your contacts about your changed number.

We've been hearing about WhatsApp testing the feature for some time now. A previous report claims that the ability to revoke messages was pushed with a 5 minute window and then removed. While no fixed time period for revoking messages was fixed, users testing the feature asked for a longer duration that would let them recall a message anytime. However, we will know what exactly is on offer only after an official announcement.
