Tesla to launch $25,000 electric car without steering wheel in 2023?

The $25,000 Tesla electric car is believed to be a new electric hatchback that the company plans to manufacture in China at Gigafactory Shanghai and ship internationally.


Elon Musk, the tech tycoon, is said to have informed Tesla staff that the automaker's previously promised $25,000 electric car will be unveiled in 2023. According to electrek.co, the CEO indicated that it could not even have a steering wheel. Musk has stated that this new pricing point is made possible by Tesla's new battery cell and battery production efforts, which may decrease battery prices by more than 50 per cent. The $25,000 Tesla electric car is believed to be a new electric hatchback that the company plans to manufacture in China at Gigafactory Shanghai and ship internationally.

Meanwhile, Tesla intends to sell power directly to consumers in the United States. The EV manufacturer has applied to the Public Utilities Commission of Texas to become a "retail electric provider" (REP) through its subsidiary Tesla Energy Ventures. In Australia and the United Kingdom, Tesla presently provides a retail electric plan to integrate residential energy storage.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Tesla would provide its whole energy ecosystem, including solar, batteries, and EV chargers, to new houses in a new luxury enclave being constructed in Florida. According to the auto-tech website Electrek, the carmaker has just begun to give its entire energy ecosystem to third-party installations, including solar panels, Powerwall home battery packs, and electric vehicle chargers, in order to offer the "full Tesla Energy ecosystem."

In other news, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has stated that the firm plans to develop a humanoid robot called Tesla Bot. The statement was made during AI Day, a series of tech seminars conducted in California by Tesla to recruit machine learning experts. Just as an actor clad in a bodysuit like the Tesla robot entered the stage, Musk said that the business is strong in sensors and batteries and that a prototype similar to this will most likely be available next year. While the actor was not an actual robot, he said that "the Tesla Bot will be real."
