The latest version also includes new chat themes, allowing users to customise the appearance and feel of individual chats.

Telegram's version 8 upgrade, released earlier this month, including limitless live broadcasts, the option to remove subtitles from video, an enhanced sticker panel, new animated emoticons, and other features. Telegram is now expanding on that upgrade with version 8.0.1, which includes additional customisation options for individual chats, comprehensive read receipts in groups, the ability to record video and audio from live streams, and other enhancements. The latest version also includes new chat themes, allowing users to customise the appearance and feel of individual chats.

Chat themes are believed to be the most critical change in the version 8.0.1 release. Users may choose from eight themes, each with colourful gradient message bubbles, a dynamic backdrop, and distinctive background patterns. Users may change the theme by going to Chat Header > Change Colors. The Telegram stated in its statement that it would introduce additional themes in the future. In addition to chat themes, the new version includes animated and interactive emojis. Some animated emojis are now interactive and provide a full-screen effect. If both ends of the conversation are open, the animations and vibrations will be performed at the same time.

In addition to these aesthetic improvements, the upgrade includes more comprehensive read receipts in group chats. When a user sends a message to a group, the message is marked as "read." "as soon as at least one of the members has read it It used to say "read" before "only after every single member had read the message Furthermore, users in smaller groups may now long-press the message to check which group members have seen it – a feature that has been available on WhatsApp for quite some time.

The latest Telegram version now includes the ability for admins to capture live streams and video chats. An administrator can select whether to record both video and audio or simply audio. When the recording is completed by the administrator, the recording file will be saved in their Saved Messages.
