Demonetisation effect: Snapdeal is now selling cash

Snapdeal announces a new facility to deliver Rs 2000 to your home. The facility will be available in select areas of Gurugram and Bangalore.

Demonetisation has brought to the fore services that you may have never imagined before. After all, who had wondered a facility to get cash delivered at home would hit headlines. Snapdeal has announced such an offering, a facility called Cash@Home that allows people to order the delivery of Rs 2000. And, they don't need to buy a product to do so. 

How to get started

Firstly, users need to download the Snapdeal app. The service works only on a mobile app and works in select areas in Bangalore and Gurugram. Depending upon your location, the app will check if cash is available in your area. Once cash is available, users will see a push notification and SMS notification and finally the app takes you to an order page.

You need to pay a convenience fee of Re 1, which can be done via Freecharge or even using debit card. A logistics executive will then reach your home with a POS machine the next day and you can swipe your card and get the cash. There will be Rs 2000 limit per day on the bookings.
