We cannot go out to shop for our grocery items because of the current COVID-19 situation. We are dependent on online stores.

Amidst the uprising cases of COVID-19, the e-grocery stores like Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket, Grofers are trying to curb the problem, but with the increasing rise of orders, you might get in line even online.

The demand for e-grocery shopping increased, and the customers were seeing delivery from 3 to 7 days because of the sudden spurge in orders.

BigBasket said, "With restrictions on movement nationwide, we are seeing a massive surge in the number of orders we receive each day. While slots are definitely available, please expect deliveries to happen in 2-3 days".

They even told their customers to pool up their orders and place them in one go. They have also requested to cross-checked the items so that they can reduce the number of trips for one particular item.

It is the same story with Flipkart's Supermarket and Amazon's express grocery delivery. They are all trying to balance the situation by hiring additional workers. As per reports, there has been a huge rise in orders in the last month, and it's exceeding last year's shopping spree.
