Noise 8 smart watch review: A good deal for ₹639

Synopsis

After even Apple introduced an iWatch in 2014, the smart watch concept had definitely 'arrived' among tech-heads. But the high cost of most of them keeps customers at bay.

Of course, the Noise 8 smart watch is in no way close to Apple’s product, but it can give you the experience of having a smart watch for just ₹639.

Noise 8, a gadget manufacturing and selling firm, has offered its smart watches from a range of ₹639 to ₹999. The two models are available on e-commerce websites Snapdeal and Flipkart, respectively.

The watch’s 'smart' features include a calling function, which works fine enough to carry out a conversation with no connectivity glitches. Also, one can send and receive text messages through the watch.

As for other features, the watch is equipped with a pedometer, stopwatch, calendar, phonebook, photo gallery, music player and reminders like 'sedentary' and 'drink water'.

The watch comes along with an 'Anti-lost' feature. Once the 'BT notice' application is installed in a mobile phone, the watch’s tracking feature gets activated via Bluetooth. In the case the phone suddenly crosses a certain distance, the watch will alert users.

This watch is supported by all Android devices, and the company claims it to have a battery standby time of over 20 hours. However, during our usage, we noticed the watch needs to be recharged every 12 hours at least. It takes 20-30 minutes to get fully charged.

Overall, it is a good deal for the given prize, with a good number of smart features. However, do remember - you are getting what you paid for, and nothing more.
