Was your LinkedIn profile one of 100 million hacked accounts?

A few days after LinkedIn officially confirmed a potential threat to the user profiles on its network, an Australian security expert has developed a website to check if a user’s account was compromised.

The website, HaveIBeenPwned, which was developed by the Australian security expert Troy Hunt, has been designed to detect if a LinkedIn account was hacked or not.

After logging on the website, a user needs to enter his/her LinkedIn email address or username and then click on the option "Pwned?" to check if the profile was hacked.

HaveIBeenPwned is said to scan over 500 million accounts from over 100 websites, which were reportedly hacked.

A British news website reported that the hack reportedly, has put about 6.5 million users at risk. Later, the social media company revealed that 164,611,595 accounts were hacked into.
