Instagram is developing a new feature that will allow users to label followers as "favourites." The new function will enable users to see posts from favourites at the top of the stream. A snapshot of the functionality supplied by reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi shows that the Facebook-owned site does not send alerts when users add people to their favourite list. Aside from favourites, Instagram users may also make a "close friend" list "where they can submit more private tales that are only visible to a small number of individuals.

Twitter screenshots show that the 'Favourites' option will be located within the more optionç (represented by three vertical lines) on the upper left side of the profile page. Users will most likely be able to mark people as favourites separately by visiting their profile, similar to how close friends operate. Instagram has yet to provide further information on the Favourites feature, which looks in the works. CEO Adam Mosseri has stated that the firm will not be releasing an iPad-specific app anytime soon in other Instagram-related news. Instagram is available on Android phones, iPhones, and desktop computers. However, there is no iPad app.
