Military Intelligence personnel have held two militants of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) near Sulur near Coimbatore on Thursday. NDFB is an armed separatist outfit in Assam.

An Indian Air Force station is situated at Sulur which makes this arrest significance.

One of the arrested has been identified as Upan Pasumatry. Pasumatry is facing charges of possessing and using weapons against the armed forces in Assam. The other person is a co-worker of Pasumatry and is the brother of an active member of NDFB, according to The Hindu.

They were arrested from a private factory at Pappampatti Pirivu.

The duo had been working at a poultry near Sulur for the past two years. Army sleuths had camped at Sulur for over a week to closely monitor their activities and after confirmation, they nabbed the suspects.
