Supreme Court delivers a big blow to TTV Dinakaran

Synopsis

Supreme Court has dismissed TTV Dinakaran's plea towards the cancellation of investigation of FERA case The advocate who is fighting the case on his behalf said that Dinakaran is a Singaporean citizen and hence cannot be prosecuted in India It was also argued that the three companies related to this case are registered abroad

The Supreme Court has dismissed TTV Dinakaran's plea towards the cancellation of investigation of FERA case. 

Meanwhile, it has been ordered that he should give his fullest cooperation at the time of inquiry at Egmore court.

The advocate who is fighting the case on his behalf said, “Though born in India, Dinakaran holds Singapore citizenship. So he cannot be investigated in the court of law in India, and the case cannot be filed against him either.”

It was also argued that the three companies related to this case are registered abroad. 

The Supreme Court has dismissed the plea.
