Sasikala’s team to pay Rs 6 crore medical expenses incurred for Jayalalitha’s treatment

Sasikala’s team will reportedly give Rs 6 crore to Apollo Hospital for the medical expenses incurred for former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Late J Jayalalitha Jayalalitha was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Chennai, on September 22, 2016 The amount will be paid from AIADMK's party fund

Sasikala’s team will reportedly give Rs 6 crore to Apollo Hospital for the medical expenses incurred for former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Late J Jayalalitha. 

Jayalalitha was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Chennai, on September 22, 2016. She was under treatment for more than two months. 

She passed away on December 4, 2017. It was earlier believed that the government would pay for the medical expenses.

Meanwhile, on June 15, 2017, a meeting was held under the leadership of current Chief Minister E Palaniswami. In that meeting it was decided that they would pay Jayalalitha’s medical bills from AIADMK's party fund.

A cheque was handed over to the Health Minister Vijay Bhaskar. It is said that he would give the cheque to the management of Apollo Hospital. 

The MGR centenary to be celebrated in Madurai on June 30, 2017, was also discussed in the meeting.
