Missing Chennai model, Gaanam Nair,returns home after three days

Ganam Nair, a Malayali model and a fashion designer, had gone missing from the morning of May 26. And the Facebook community is doing their best to spread the word.

The 28-year-old model that also goes by the name Jikki Padhoo disappeared while travelling to her office from Virugambakkam to Nungambakkam. But she never reached her office. She was riding a black Honda Activa scooter (TN-09 BU 5199). Her phone was dead when she left home.

 

Ganam hails from Thalassery, Kerala and works in Chennai.  Reports say that her boyfriend spoke to her on the night of May 25 but found her mobile switched off when he tried her the next morning.

Ganam was last seen wearing a blue dress and has a scar near her left eyebrow. She lives in Valsaravakkam while her father lives in Mumbai.

Ganam’s relatives have lodged a complaint with K.K. Nagar Police Station. The police have checked the route she usually takes to her office, but no CCTV camera footage has been found. The police are also unable to track her location since her phone was switched off from the time of her leaving home. 

Her friends and well-wishers have taken to Twitter and Facebook urging people to help find her. Some have also accused police of not cooperating.

UPDATE!

Missing model Gaanam Nair has returned home. Police officials have said that the woman was suffering from anxiety and depression. “She was reportedly in depression. We are investigating” police officials claim. While talking to the media a police official said. “We understand she had marriage related issues with her family and had some health issues as well."
