Chennai: DMK's Duraimurugan refuses to talk without the presence of the DGP

Synopsis

The debate on subsidy demands for the ‘Police’ and ‘Fire and Rescue services’ Department is under way During the debate DMK member Durai Murugan said that he would speak only in the presence of the DGP The insistence of the DMK member towards  the arrival of the DGP has brought in some tension  


In the Tamil Nadu Assembly, the debate on subsidy demands for the ‘Police’ and ‘Fire and Rescue services’ Department was carried out today July 6, 2017.  During the discussion DMK member Durai Murugan said that he would speak only in the presence of the DGP.

“If only DGB Rajendren arrives at the Assembly will I talk,” said Durai Murugan. 

Following this DGP Rajendren was brought to the Assembly immediately.

The insistence of the DMK member towards the arrival of the DGP has brought in some tension. 

Later the demands were represented on behalf of the police officials. 

The requirements were that the workload should be lessened, there should be a hike in the salary, and the vacancies should be filled in.
