DMK criticising GST is quite a joke: Thambidurai

Synopsis

Stalin says that GST will hit small traders badly. Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker Thambidurai spoke to the reporters at the Chennai airport. We stand united in celebrating the MGR centenary. We are on the right track. Together we will restore Tamil Nadu.

Stalin said the tax for textiles and hotels had been increased by five per cent and added that small traders would be severely hit. He points out that the tax for biscuit is higher than that for gold biscuits. Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker Thambidurai spoke to the reporters at the Chennai airport. He then commented on DMK and Congress’ opposition for the GST.
“It was DMK and Congress who first initiated the GST bill. It is funny to see them complaining about this. The DMK and the Congress are responsible for all the rights we have lost. We support GST, because the central government has done few changes serving the requests of J Jayalalithaa”.

He also said,“We stand united in celebrating the MGR centenary. We are on the right track. Together we will restore Tamil Nadu”.
