There was no respite for India's poor outing in the track events of the Tokyo Olympics. In the women's 200m event, top sprinter Dutee Chand failed to qualify for the semis after finishing seventh in her heat.
Although Chand clocked her best timing of the season, of 23.85 seconds, she needed something way better than that to secure her semis place. Overall, she was placed 38th among the 41 competitors.
