The Indian shooting, too, was disappointed in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics. In the men's skeet shooting qualification, the Indian duo of Angad Bajwa and Mairaj Ahmad Khan failed to seal their finals berth.
A challenging Day 3 for the Indian contingent continued in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and this time it was shooting. On Monday, the Indian pair of Angad Bajwa and Mairaj Ahmad Khan failed to secure their final spot in the men's skeet shooting.
The duo managed to finish in 18th and 25th place, respectively. The qualification round was spread across a couple of days, starting Sunday, during which Bajwa shot 125 times to hit 120 skeets, while Mairaj shot 117 times.
On Monday, Bajwa missed a couple of shots in Round 4, as he was out of the top-15. Although he had missed a couple on Sunday as well out of his 75 shots, he was placed 11th and was in contention to make it to the top-six.

Meanwhile, Mairaj had missed three on Sunday, as he shot 25 (perfect) and 24 in the opening two rounds, while he shot 23 in Round 4. Their chances of qualification were seemingly over in the final round, with the top-six continuing to dominate, while Bajwa and Mairaj fired 24 and 23, respectively.

With this, the Indian shooting contingent is done with its Games commitments, as the delegate leaves without a final spot. The six to qualify for the final are Eric Delaunay (France), Tammaro Cassandro (Italy), Eetu Kallioinen (Finland), Vincent Hancock (USA), Abdullah Al-Rashidi (Kuwait) and Jesper Hansen (Denmark).
