Rajasthan Royals win by 4 wickets. The match is over. What drama in the end.
Rajasthan held their nerve to beat Chennai in a thrilling match, as Jos Butler played a blinder. Butler opened the innings and stayed 95 not out from just 60 deliveries. He hit the winning runs, that too in the last over with just a ball to spare. Samson scored 21 while Binny contributed 22. Harbhajan, Wiley, Shardul, Bravo and Jadeja took a wicket each for Chennai.
Fatigue clearly hampered him in the latter half of his innings, but still found enough within himself to come up with a stunning strike over mid-wicket which all but sealed it in the final over. Don't forget that precious, precious cameo from Krishnappa Gowtham either, who keeps producing these moments now and again. The older ball was getting harder and harder to hit towards the end, but Gowtham nailed two of the four balls he faced to keep the Royals in it.
Chennai won the toss and chose to bat first, posting a total of against 176/4 Rajasthan. Shane Watson opened the batting and scored 39 from 31, while Raina scored an impressive 52 off 35 balls. Captain MSD scored 33 off 23, while Sam Billings scored 27 before being run out. Jofra Archer took 2 wickets for Rajasthan, while Ish Sodhi took 1.
