Mohammed Shami’s house attacked by group of youths; manhandles security

Synopsis

A group of youths in Kolkata attacked Mohammed Shami’s house on Saturday. The attack was followed by an argument that took place between Shami’s driver and youth for over-speeding. During the attack, a FIR was filed by Shami’s wife. The police arrested the attackers.

Indian pacer, Mohammad Shami was attacked by the locals in Kolkata on Saturday night over the argument between his driver and youth.

The argument took place as Shami’s driver was allegedly over-speeding and almost collided to a local motorbike rider. As reported by ABP News, Shami was in the car, heading back to home with his wife when the incident happened. Witnessing the seriousness of the argument, Shami got down from the car to resolve the issue.

Not stopping there, the youth formed a group of few locals and tried to attack Shami’s house after few hours of the same night. They even manhandled the security of the home.

Before the group of men could enter the house, Shami’s wife filed a FIR, and the attackers were arrested who were later taken to the court on Sunday.

 “Yes, we have received a complaint from Mr Mohammed Shami’s family. Immediate action was taken against the accused and all of them were arrested on Sunday morning,” Police was quoted as saying by ABP News.
