‘Vidharba Express’ gets RBI job under sports quota, before leaving to Lanka

Synopsis

Umesh Yadav finished the formalities to be appointed as assistant manager for RBI before leaving to Sri Lanka. A decade ago Yadav had tried to be part of the police department as a constable.

The 29-year-old ‘Vidharbha Express,’ Umesh Yadav is appointed as an assistant manager in the prestigious government body Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Nagpur on Monday.

Before leaving for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour on Monday, Yadav finished his formalities to be a part of the government job.

He had met the RBI officials for getting a job under sports quota, before leaving to England for the Champions Trophy,

Speaking to Times of India, a close source said, "The talks were on before the Champions Trophy. He had met RBI officials before leaving for England in May. The officials gave a go ahead to his appointment in sports quota, but due to national duties he couldn't complete formalities."

This news has been welcomed by his father Tilak Yadav, who wanted his son to own a government job for his success in future. As a response to this,  a decade ago, the Indian pacer had prepared for an examination to get an entry into police department as a constable.
