Joining her hands with TVS Racing team in 2015, Iyer’s journey was not smooth though. Bearing a shoulder injury, she took two months for her partial recovery.

As reported by Vijaya Karnataka, during her practice for the previous edition of Indian National Rally in April, Iyer suffered a shoulder injury. She was operated with a titanium rod in her right shoulder.

She could not participate in most of the rounds of Indian National Rally at first. After knowing that she has to participate in the fifth round to continue her professional relationship with TVS Racing team, Iyer went through rigorous training for two months. However, her doctor had suggested for four months of rest.

To get a speedy recovery, Iyer had to go through physiotherapy and practised swimming for two hours every day.

After winning second place in Indian National Rally, Iyer is aiming at recovering completely from her injury.
