Young Congress MLA is 'stealing' my projects: Innocent MP cries foul

Actor-turned-politician Innocent MP created a flutter in political circles by alleging that young Congress MLA Roji M John was 'stealing' his pet projects and taking away credits for them without actually doing nothing.
Innocent MP's office ridiculed the MLA for trying to take credit for projects initiated by the MP in the Chalakkudy Lok Sabha constituency which consists of Angamali assembly constituency represented by John.
People knows very well that these projects were started by me. But the MLA is claiming credit for them, which is not good manners, the innocent said.
When a project initiated by the MP reaches its final stage, the MLA would convene a press conference explaining to the public about it, thus giving a sense that it was his project, the MP's office alleged.
The latest from the MLA was a press conference on Nutmeg Park in Angamali, which Innocent claimed as a project proposed by him. The park was first mooted in 2014. John was the National Student's Union office bearer and was not active in Angamali then. The young Congress leader was elected to the State Assembly in 2016.
Earlier, the MLA allegedly claimed the credit for a bypass project at Angamali town and a tourist circuit project connecting various tourism destinations in four assembly constituencies in the region. Innocent had submitted a memorandum and a project report of the circuit to Union Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma in 2015. Jose Thettayil was the MLA of Angamali then. Moreover, the project is funded by the central government and the MLA had nothing to do with it. But these facts did not stop the young Congress MLA from claiming credit for it, Innocent's office stated. The Left Democratic Front (LDF) also demanded the MLA to desist from reaping the benefits of somebody else's effort.
Though the allegations raised mixed response, the MLA has not responded yet.
