After refusing to a file a case against Sasikala about the missing MLAs on Wednesday, a Habeas Corpus was filed by advocate Balu, who represented the complainant from Kunnam Constituency, saying his MLA was missing. Following the news that MLAs are not reachable –personally and over the phone- the High Court has asked the police to file an affidavit in this regard.

Watch: This is where AIADMK MLAs are holed up

Sasikala will be in legal trouble if no information on the MLAs is given. Because, earlier, the APP representing her had said that the MLAs were safe at the MLA hostel. But currently, it has been found that the MLA hostel is empty, and there are no MLAs lodged.

More than 90 AIADMK MLAs are allegedly lodged at a beach resort in Koovathur near Mahabalipuram, and another 30 are in another resort at Poonthandalam near Kalpakkam.

Thus with media having footages of the resort (outside only as the roads to these resorts are closed with security), now those Supporting Sasikala are in trouble.

However, SP Shanmuganathan, a veteran leader from AIADMK escaped the group of MLAs who were herded into the bus to be taken to resort by the Sasikala supporters and joined the Panneerselvam team. Now, with AIADMK praesidium chairman E Madhusudhanan also joining Pannerselvam’s team, looks like the leaders are being holed up in force. Madhusudhanan was sacked by Sasikala for joining Panneerselvam.
