'Amma, Virangana': Tributes pour in for Jayalalithaa

Synopsis

After 75 days, Tamil Nadu Chief Minster J Jayalalithaa died on December 5 in Chennai. Jayalalithaa practised politics on her own terms to remain one of the main poles of Tamil Nadu politics for three decades.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was declared dead by doctors at Apollo Hospital in Chennai at 11:30 pm on December 5, after a prolonged illness and cardiac arrest.
