'Amma, Virangana': Tributes pour in for Jayalalithaa

After 75 days, Tamil Nadu Chief Minster J Jayalalithaa died on December 5 in Chennai. Jayalalithaa practised politics on her own terms to remain one of the main poles of Tamil Nadu politics for three decades.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was declared dead by doctors at Apollo Hospital in Chennai at 11:30 pm on December 5, after a prolonged illness and cardiac arrest. 

Jayalalithaa, tinsel town heroine who practised politics on her own terms to remain one of the main poles of Tamil Nadu politics for three decades, was a feisty leader with a lot of grit and determination staging remarkable comebacks despite setbacks on account of corruption cases
