Three, including drivers, killed in Kannur bus collision
Synopsis
Two private transport buses collided head-on killing the drivers and a woman passenger at Iritty in Kannur on Monday morning.
The overspeeding buses smashed at around 11 AM on Monday at Punnad near Iritty. The deceased are identified as Lijo, 36, Suresh, 38, both drivers of the buses that met with the accident and Girija, a woman passenger.
As many as 40 passengers got injured in the crash. The front portions of the buses were completely damaged in the strong collision.
