Synopsis
Mother sells her own daughters as she was unable to take care of them. Kote police have arrested the mother and rescued the children.
It is reported that Ranjita, a resident of Kailasapura Bheemanahalli of HD Kote Taluk, sold her two daughters as she could not nurture them.
She had sold her elder daughter, aged 9 years, to a Mahendra Kumar, a Tamil Nadu based person and the younger one, aged about 3 years, to Muttanna, a Kodagu resident.
Ranjita has accepted the crime before the police and is under police custody.
‘Mahila Santvana Kendra’ an NGO has protected the children.
A case has been filed at Kote Police station.
