Panic in Bengaluru Metro over an alarm clock

Synopsis

Commuters at the Magadi Road metro station in Bengaluru were in for a rude shock on Thursday, when a distinct tick’ ‘tick’ sound emanated from an abandoned backpack in the train.

Suspecting foul play, passengers soon alerted the security guards at Magadi Road station.

As the news spread, everyone present hit the panic button and train services were halted for a while and the police were contacted.

Soon the police appeared with a bomb detection squad and fished out the bag. When they opened the bag, much to everyone's amusement they found a guitar shaped alarm clock ticking.

On further scrutiny, the squad confirmed that it was indeed an alarm clock and not a bomb as people perceived it to be.
