Mollywood hit 'Thanmatra' to get a Hindi remake
Synopsis
Thanmatra, one of the highest grossing Malayalam movie will be remade in Hindi.
Directed by Blessy, the movie was both a commercial and critical success. Actor Mohanlal's breathtaking performance as a man suffering from Alzheimer's disease was hailed as his career best. The movie also won him the best actor award in the Kerala State Film Awards.
Based on late director Padmarajan's short story Orma, the film narrates the impact of Alzheimer's disease on the life of an individual and his family.
The plans for a Hindi remake of the film was announced by director Blessy at a media briefing the other day. The details of caste and crew of the Hindi version are kept under wraps.
