Video: Women punish children with hot spoon at Telangana Shishu Greh

Two female caretakers at a home for children are being investigated after they were caught on camera punishing eight children with hot spoons at a government-run care home in Telangana.

The video shows at least one of the caretaker burning hands of children with hot spoon at a 'Shishu Greh' run by Telangana government. According to local reports, the footage was captured on a hidden camera. The caretakers allegedly were miffed at the children as the young ones objected to their food.

Local police in the Karimnagar district have launched an investigation, while the state commission for the protection of child rights has also issued a notice to the collector of Karimnagar for an inquiry and has sought a report by 2 May.
