Six-year-old girl raped, stuffed into cooking vessel

In a horrifying incident, a 17-year-old boy in Salem allegedly lured his neighbour, a six-year-old girl, into his house with sweets on Saturday morning. He then allegedly raped her and then strangled her. 

In a bid to hide his crime, the teenager stuffed the little girl’s body into a large cooking vessel and covered it with a lid before hiding it in his puja room.

The panic-stricken parents, who were looking for their daughter since Saturday evening, lodged a complaint with the police on Sunday morning. The girl’s father alleged that his daughter was seen by people walking with the 17-year-old boy.

Acting on the complaint, the cops went to the boy’s home and upon seeing the police, the teenager tried to flee. The cops scoured the place and found the girl’s body in the vessel.

The alleged rapist has been caught and arrested.
