Tamil Nadu reacts to Palaniswami's victory with shock, dismay

E K Palaniswami became the CM after winning the trust vote in Tamil Nadu assembly. Soon after, DMK leader MK Stalin went on strike at the Marina Beach against the floor test. MK Stalin was detained by police.
The Tamil Nadu’s political stand-off over the position of Chief Minister comes to an end with Edappadi K Palanisamy winning the floor test on the state assembly. By winning 122 votes, Sasikala Natarajan’s choice Palanisamy won over his opposition, and amidst high-octane drama, he became the CM.
However in a democracy, he is not the popularly desired candidate, and tweets are coming in to show the popular sentiment of people.
