Actress assault: 'Pulsar' Suni known criminal, yet hired as driver

The main accused Sunil Kumar, known as ‘Pulsar’ Suni, was a former driver of the actress who was fired over alleged misconduct. He was also the former driver of Malayalam actor and Kollam MLA, Mukesh. Film producer, Suresh Kumar, has also confirmed that Sunil once followed his wife's vehicle.
The main suspect in the Malayalam actress’ kidnapping Sunil Kumar already has several cases pending against him. Sunil also called ‘Pulsar’ Suni also was a former driver of the actress who was fired over alleged misconduct.
According to reports the native of Ilambakappilly near Kodanad, Sunil planned the kidnapping of the actress and police suspect that the culprits had further plans of blackmailing the actress with photos and videos taken while she was abducted.
Sunil who has been arrested by the police is known in his native locality for getting involved in tussles and illegal activities since his school days according to a report. The same report also claimed that several police cases pending against him ranging from extortion, blackmailing, fraud, stealing bikes and cars in different police stations of Kerala.
Meanwhile, popular Malayalam actor and Kollam MLA, Mukesh stated that Sunil Kumar was his former driver and that Mukesh had no idea about his criminal background. The actor fired Sunil over his reckless driving.
Malayalam film producer, Suresh Kumar, has also confirmed that Pulsar Suni followed his wife who is yesteryear’s actress Menak’s vehicle on one occasion. Back then the accused was working as a driver of the film unit’s vehicles.
This clearly shows that Sunil Kumar is a repeated offender who has been escaping the legal clutches because no one conducted a background check before hiring him. Most of Sunil’s illegal cases have been reported and filed at different police stations, and a simple background check could have perhaps brought him to book.
In fact, it is often advised that a background check is must before hiring an employee and this case proves the importance of the same.
