Yet another case of sexual harassment by school teacher has come to light after five students wrote a letter to school authorities about alleged abuse. The girls belonging to class six and seven wrote a letter and dropped it in the complaint box in the school.
The students of a government school in Badiadka, Kasargod, dropped their letter in the complaint box in the school. On finding the letter, school headmaster contacted Childline, a round-the-clock helpline for children in distress.
The Childline officials met the children and the children reportedly told officials that the teacher attempted to abuse them on several occassions. The teacher tried to sexually abuse them for three consecutive days in the last two weeks, children said.
Following these parents of the girls filed a complaint with the police. Police have registered a case under Children from Sexual Offenses Act, 2012, Badiadka inspector Babu Peringath said.
