
The ruling party AIADMK’s political misery has become a never-ending saga as both O Panneerselvam and Sasikala Natarajan holding their positions and claiming their stakes in the Chief Minister’s position. The latest development is that Sasikala has written a letter to the Governor of Tamil Nadu Vidyasagar Rao seeking an appointment to meet him along with her MLAs to prove majority support.
Briefly, here is what Sasikala needs to form her government and be the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The state assembly has 235 seats out of which AIADMK has 136 seats making it the majority party to govern the state for five years.

Now, to prove that Sasikala has majority support, she needs 117 MLAs in her favour. She has been claiming that she has the support of 130 MLAs who are kept in a resort to ensure no outside influence.

Till now Sasikala has met the Governor of Tamil Nadu on February 9 and submitted a letter to show that she has majority AIADMK’s MLAs support. The Governor also met Panneersevlam but, he is yet to make any decision to end the political uncertainty.
On her recent letter also, she is seeking an appointment to meet the Governor to prove her majority and decide the further course of action. Meanwhile, as MLAs are flipping sides Sasikala has reportedly threatened her opposition saying legally and democratically will do everything. Further, she reportedly said can be patient for sometime but after that together do as needed. Pointing at Panneerselvam and his supporters, she said the ones who tries to divide the party will be destroyed.
