Sachin to be Ambassador of Kerala's anti-drug campaign

Synopsis

  Cricket legend and co-owner of Kerala Blasters Sachin Tendulkar will be the brand ambassador of Kerala government's anti-drug campaign.

 

In a joint press conference with Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Minister for Sports E P Jayarajan, the cricketer announced his willingness to become the brand ambassador of the state's anti-drug drive. 

 

Tendulkar also revealed his desire to start a residential football academy in Kerala to mould players of international standards. "The Kerala Blasters will train the players and in the next five years the Academy will give 100 best players to the Indian football," said Tendulkar. 

 

During the press meet, Sachin announced the names of four new investors of Kerala Blasters FC.  Telugu film stars Chiranjeevi and Akkineni Nagarjuna and other shareholders of the club also took part in the press meet.
