A Romanian woman was found dead in front of her apartment near Guruvayoor, the famous pilgrimage destination in Kerala on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Robertina, 40, from Romania. Police officials say that the primary investigations proved that it was a case of suicide. She is believed to have jumped off her flat at around 3.30 in the morning.
Robertina was staying in the apartment with her husband Hariharan, a native of Guruvayoor. The police sources said that the couple got married five months back and that the problems in the marriage must have prompted her to take the extreme step.
Police have found the suicide note, purportedly written by Robertina from their flat. Hariharan has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
