Rahul backs George, DySP's widow to write to PM

The announcement came from none other than Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, who said, "Karnataka Minister KJ George need not resign. Let the investigation agency decide it."

 

Reacting to this development, Pavana Ganapathy, widow of DySP Ganapathi said, she has faced embarrassment from the government which has pointed fingers at her character.

 

Wife to write to PM:

 

Pavana Ganapathy, expressing doubts over fairness in the judicial inquiry ordered by Karnataka government, said, "I will write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him to intervene in the matter. I will explain the way the State government is handling my husband's suicide case.

 

Meanwhile the in Coorg, the home district of deceased police officer Ganapathi, many places witnessed bandh. In Madikeri, the Kodava community members and various organisations burnt tyres and an effigy of Minister George and CM Siddaramaiah while raising slogans against the Congress government.
