The senior Congress leader also assured that he would bring up the issue in the next parliament session.
" As far as Malayalees in Delhi are concerned, such disturbing and shocking incidents have been rrecurring in the past few years in the capital. Whenever such incidents happen, all the MPs from Kerala raise it before the Central Government and demand action to ensure safety and security. I have heard such incidents since I came to Delhi. But unfortunately, crimes have no respite," Antony said.
KC Venugopal MP also said that he will approach the Home Ministry to expedite the investigation. "It is a shame to the nation that the police did not wake up until the media took up the issue," he sad. "A high-level inquiry should be ordered into the murder, and it should also cover the laxity of the police officials," he added.
The murder sent shockwaves among the local Malayalee residents here who thronged the Ashok Nagar police station on Wednesday evening demanding the arrest of the assaulters. They also accused the police of ordering probe only after media took up the incident.

Today morning we brought up the matter before Delhi Police Commissioner and ministers after which the police took the statements of the other children," said Radhakrishnan, a resident of Mayur Vihar Phase-III. We are not ready to let go the matter and are planning a protest before Kerala house," he added.
